Tanpura Machine 1.2 is shipping now...

Tanpura Machine (Sruti Box) is a simple application for your Java enabled mobile phone. It is useful for Indian Musicians. With Tanpura machine, you can chose the scale, octave, instrument, tempo and the volume. You can also chose Madhyam, Pancham or Nishad as the second note to be played. Please let us know if it works on your phone. Tanpura has been tested on a Blackberry, Nokia E90 and Sony Ericsson P910i.

Version 1.1 has
1. A bug fix on saving settings.
2. Pa-Sa-Sa-Sa is now like the real Tanpura.
3. The interval between Pa and Sa has been reduced.
Version 1.2 has
1. Added sustain on the notes.
2. Removed the annoying delay between cycles of 4 plucks.
